It all started with a 1947 Cadillac Series 60 Fleetwood that was given to Gregory Alonzo by Alex Levesque of the Automotive Mentoring Group (AMG) in spring 2016. It was given to Greg as a gift for his grades at Morton College, 4.0 GPA, and his years of dedication to the AMG. During is time at the AMG he met the Cadillac-minded designer Mike Herbert, who studied Cadillac design and its brand essence in college. When they teamed up to work on the '47 Cadillac is when Speakeasy gained its soul - specializing in Cadillac design, be it restoring a vintage Cadillac, or customizing a Ford Model A Custom in the spirit of Cadillac. What would that look like? Well explore our work or contact us, we would love to talk to you about the possibility.
Passion for steel, design and the American Dream.
Speakeasy exists to carry the Cadillac essence that was so iconic in the past into an expression and identity into the future. As the corporate brand develops itself with future concepts, we strive to preserve its past with relevant visions of its future. Coming from our roots in the Chicago mentorship program, the Automotive Mentoring Group, we symbolize the potential in the future of youth in the inner-city.
Enduring Passion, from generation to generation.
The skills of auto-restoration, design and brand heritage are life-long skills that we value. Each car we work on has soul, and from its design conception, its fabrication to its finalization we put our heart into the character each car represents, and the story it tells.
